our story

North-east of Cape Town lies a sleepy, picturesque place called Riebeek Valley.

At the end of a long, dusty sand road you reach the Zonquasdrift farm.

Behind the dark green, familiar looking gate, there is a world full of passion for the beautiful things in life: good wine, fresh olive oil, blossoming flowers, ripe fruit. Two Cape Dutch houses, a rich, magical garden and a humming courtyard form the heart of the Zonquasdrift farm.

From here, everything takes its course. It is summer and harvest time at Zonquasdrift. Farm life starts early on hot December mornings. In the yard everything is prepared to harvest the ripe grapes. Before the heat odf mid-day arrives, the first grapes are already processed in the wine cellar.
